The Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) is the oldest Chamber of Commerce in Asia and the oldest commercial organisation in Singapore and today counts among its members business enterprises operated over 40 nationalities. From its beginnings, the Chamber has been multi-racial. Over 30% of its membership is made up of Singaporean companies, the balance coming from some 45 countries around the world. American, Japanese, German and British companies form the largest group of foreign members.
Chamber Highlights
At the inaugural 2009 Innovation and Enterprise Week (IEW) organised by Exploit Technologies in October, SICC formed an MOU with the Technology Transfer Network (TTN) to create a platform for industries and research institutions to explore collaborations in innovation and technology transfer.
Founded in February 2008 by Exploit Technologies and our local polytechnics and universities, TTN currently has 25 members that are Technology Transfer Organisations (TTO) spread across Asia, United States, Canada, Europe and New Zealand. The core activities of TTN include IP Cluster Mapping, Training & Certification of TTO professionals, Marketing & Events, Commercialization Advisory Services, Industry Collaboration and regular dialogues and sharing of best practices. With SICC on board as its associate member, TTN hopes to extend its commercial reach to various industries.
By partnering TTN, SICC aims to create opportunities for its members that are innovation-driven to tap on TTN’s expertise and resources to share best practices in technology transfer and research, gain insight into emerging technologies on a regular and coordinated basis, provide feedback on industry needs, as well as to explore potential business ventures.

The Chamber provides a respected and effective voice for the business community in Singapore. It is accepted by the Government as representing the multinational investment interests in the Republic. At the same time, the Chamber's substantial local membership gives it firm roots in Singapore.
